The Role
You are an experienced leader, inspiring, mentoring and earning the respect of the team around you to lead them to greatness. You establish close and meaningful relationships with Koto’s clients and deliver exceptional creative work for them.
Your Responsibilities
- You identify, curate and refine great ideas that can transform brands and businesses. You know how to frame and sell them in expertly. You encourage and nurture all of this in your team, teaching them to do the same.
- You have an excellent knowledge of all tenets of brand creation and can deliver both a clear vision and specific actionable feedback to ensure you and your team deliver world class brands.
- You are responsible for the day-to-day leadership, mentorship, culture and output of the Design team. You actively recruit new talent and spend time building relationships with educational institutes and the design community online.
- You are responsible for sharing work with our clients, inclusive of content, narrative structure and team. You can present work in an incredibly compelling way and can form well considered perspectives to challenge clients.
- You collaborate intimately with the Strategy team to develop ideas, frameworks, and copy that inspire and inform the brands you create.
- You demonstrate an encyclopaedic knowledge of branding and have consistently delivered work for the most impactful companies of today and the founders defining tomorrow.
- You demonstrate ownership of your role and can both take and action feedback from your manager to progress within it. You can deliver actionable feedback and valuable support for any member of your team.
- You collaborate intimately with the Client Services team to create scopes of work and can deliver on them within the timelines and team you collectively outline.
- You have a willingness to work in person in our London studio and are open to travel globally, from Stuttgart to San Francisco.
- You have a great understanding of Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Pitch and advocate for adoption of new relevant tools?
Our Responsibilities
- We will ensure you have meaningful and regular access to your manager to support your personal development and career trajectory.
- We will actively reward performance with promotions, pay increases and a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of salary to all employees.

- We will actively encourage you to take 25 days holiday yearly, in addition to UK bank holidays (on average eight), one additional holiday day per year (capped at 5 additional days), and a studio closure between Christmas and New Year.
- We will contribute an additional 3% to anyone wanting to engage in the People’s Pension Scheme.
- We deploy a monthly ‘employee wellness’ benefits package via Juno of £75 per month.
- We offer access to YCN and fund relevant training opportunities to any employee looking to develop themselves and career.
- We reward five years of service with £5,000 and five days holiday. We reward ten years of service with £10,000 and four weeks holiday.
- We will give you the opportunity to work from any of the four koto studios globally, with appropriate planning and application.
