Senior Client Manager - Digital
The Role
You are an experienced client manager; meticulous, process-driven and a true people-person. You build and maintain close and meaningful relationships with Koto’s clients, know the detail of your projects like the back of your hand and work to support Koto’s commercial goals. You have specific expertise managing digital forward projects, with experience managing the creation of exceptional UX and UI for clients across any industry.
Your Responsibilities
- You manage the day-to-day running of multiple projects with ease and are able to work quickly, carefully and autonomously to ensure we deliver projects on time and on budget.
- You take an active role in Koto’s new business activities, ensure creds are created and help to ensure we put our best foot forward.
- You build great relationships with your clients and internal teams — you know how to advocate for both and communicate clearly to each (both verbally and in writing).
- You follow best practices across project management and client service, providing the best level of care and service to our clients throughout their time with us.
- You can write a solid project proposal and timeline and can own your projects and their resourcing. You know who’s on what at all times whilst having one eye on the future.
- You feel confident to negotiate. Upsells, scope extensions, feedback. You can bring clients back on side when the going gets tough but you can manage any legal or financial concerns upwards.
- You navigate and report financial data with clarity to your MD and finance team and can easily pull up reports and talk to them using our latest reporting tools.
- You support junior members of the team, guiding their decision-making behind the scenes to empower them to own their relationships.
- You have a sound awareness of branding and the design community and are able to talk confidently to this.
- You have a willingness to work in person in our New York studio, be an active part of our studio’s culture, and are open to travel globally.
Our Responsibilities
- We will ensure you have meaningful and regular access to your manager to support your personal development and career trajectory.
- We will actively reward performance with promotions, pay increases and a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of salary to all employees.
- We ensure Koto is an equal environment for all its employees.
- We will support you in taking family leave and offer significant paid maternity and paternity.
- We will actively encourage you to take 25 days vacation annually, in addition to US bank holidays (on average seven), and a studio closure over the December Holidays.
- We will contribute an additional up to 4% to anyone wanting to contribute to our 401k plan.
- We deploy a monthly ‘employee wellness’ benefits package via Juno of $100 per month.
- We offer access to YCN and fund relevant training opportunities to any employee looking to develop themselves and career.
- We reward five years of service with $5,000 and five days vacation. We reward ten years of service with $10,000 and four weeks vacation.
- We will give you the opportunity to work from any of the four Koto studios globally, for a set time period, with appropriate planning and application.
Our Culture
- At Koto we encourage our team to be ‘rationally optimistic’ about the potential of our work, our clients, their businesses, and the power of brand.
- We pursue the best briefs, want to inspire meaningful work, and for those interested provide an opportunity to make the work of their lives. We are actively cultivating leadership, culture and spaces to encourage this.
- We work in person with an optional WFH day on Friday, and an additional two weeks remote a year. We believe this produces the best work, mentoring opportunities, collective learning and culture.
- We encourage autonomy in each member of our team, allowing them to manage their own time, hours and personal commitments appropriately to complete work.
