Digital Producer
The Role
You’re an experienced Digital Producer or Digital Project Manager — meticulous with process, confident with clients, and energized by great design and technology. You lead digital projects from kickoff to launch, navigating complexity with clarity and bringing teams together to do their best work. You’ll build strong relationships with clients, guide internal teams, and help drive the commercial success of Koto’s digital practice.
Your Responsibilities
1. You manage the day-to-day of web and app projects with ease— working quickly, carefully, and autonomously to ensure we deliver on time and on budget.
2. You know how to sell Koto’s digital expertise — whether to brand clients, new business leads, or digital-first founders. You support RFPs and pitches, ensuring we always present ourselves strongly.
3. You build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams — advocating for both and communicating clearly across every touchpoint.
4. You champion project management best practices, delivering a high standard of care to our clients and technical partners. You flex easily between agile and waterfall methods depending on project needs.
5. You own your project resourcing — knowing who’s on what, what’s next, and where we need to plan ahead. You partner closely with our Client Services Director to forecast and scale.
6. You negotiate confidently — fees, scopes, timelines, and feedback. You keep a cool head and bring clients back on side when the going gets tough.
7. You report clearly on budgets, timelines, and KPIs — using our reporting tools to keep the MD and finance team in the loop. You play an active role in tracking and supporting our monthly goals.
8. You mentor junior team members — helping them build confidence and ownership while offering thoughtful, behind-the-scenes support.
9. You think in systems — understanding how brand, UX, and technology connect — and you help teams translate big ideas into beautifully executed digital experiences.
10. You have 2–3 years of product management knowledge — you are comfortable collaborating with client-side Product Owners, creating and prioritizing backlogs, and using tools like JIRA to support agile workflows. While this role isn’t technical, you know how to scope work, size sprints, and help teams stay aligned on what’s shipping next.
11. You’re excited to be part of our studio culture in Los Angeles, and open to global travel — from Stuttgart to San Francisco.
Our Responsibilities
1. We’ll ensure you have regular access to your manager and team leads to support your development and career path.
2. We actively reward strong performance with promotions, salary increases, and a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10%.
3. We’re committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees.
4. We support family leave and offer significant paid maternity and paternity time.
5. We encourage you to take your time off: 25 vacation days annually, 10+ U.S. holidays, and a full studio closure between Christmas and New Year.
6. We offer a 401(k) with a 4% company match.
7. We provide a monthly $105 “employee wellness” budget through Juno.
8. We give you access to YCN and fund relevant training and development opportunities.
9. We reward tenure with $5,000 and five extra days off at five years, and $10,000 and four weeks off at ten years.
10. We support work-from-anywhere opportunities across our five global studios, with advanced planning.
Our Culture
- At Koto, we encourage our team to be ‘rationally optimistic’ about the potential of our work, our clients, their businesses, and the power of brand.
- We pursue the best briefs, aim to inspire meaningful work, and for those interested, provide an opportunity to make the work of their lives. We are actively cultivating leadership, culture, and spaces to encourage this.
- We work in person with an optional WFH day on Friday, and an additional two weeks of remote work a year. We believe this produces the best work, mentoring opportunities, collective learning, and culture.
- We encourage autonomy in each member of our team, allowing them to manage their own time, hour,s and personal commitments appropriately to complete work.
